Day 2 Rations
I finished day 2 on rations. I am surprised at how good some of the recipes are so far. So let's see what was on the menu.
Breakfast
Breakfast was oatmeal with peanut butter. Wanted to switch it up a little bit. Had my tea with a splash of milk and honey. Not a whole lot different than my usual breakfast so far.
Lunch
I made a sandwich from left over sausage ring and the national loaf I made. Added a bit of butter on the bread and a couple slices of tomato. It made a good sandwich. My only complaint with the sausage ring is, it's really salty. With the sandwich I finished off the green beans from last night.
Dinner
I made hamburger steaks. I only used .25lbs of ground beef and bread crumbs. I was able to make 3 steaks out of it. It's amazing how far the meat goes when you add a bit of bread. For the sides I steamed 1/2 a cabbage with salt and pepper and we each had a baked potato. There was a lot of cabbage left over.
Dessert
For a little something sweet after dinner I had a piece of the no-bake cake with tea. So yummy.
